I was surprised that this film was in the cinema for 2 weeks. It’s a German film about the stasi a few year before the berlin wall fell. I knew that the stasi kept tabs on as many people as possible, but its amazing that about the same number of people were employed as were watched in the stasi, “Channel 4′s Big brother” has nothing on the stasi, It must have been hell to live under that type of rule, always under close watch and in fear of been fingered by neighbor, friend, Relative etc.

I think the Patriot act in America is along the lines of this… Wiretaps, arrest on suspicion etc. Quite crazy in my humble opinion

And maybe down the line we will have a remake of this into a hollywood movie. what a sad day that will be!

I installed democracy Player yesterday.. Its based upon VLC, and includes RSS etc.. According to the website www.getdemorcacy.com its turns your PC into a Internet TV video player.
I must admit its is pretty good for what it is. To conserve Hard Drive space it has a nice option to make video’s expire in a certain amount of time at which point they will be deleted.

Instead of going to the Comedy festival I went to Curracloe, Co. Wexford. I brought along a few friends 1 Swedish and 2 Italians…
It was a funny sort of day really…. In Wexford we lost one of the Italians for 2 hours.. We finally caught up to her at the first restaurant that we eat at, it got a bit funny as the other Italian was quit mad at her friend ..:) All I could do was to watch and laugh

After that I made sure that everyone was accounted for.. and we set off for the Beach. It was the first time I was to Curracloe, but it has a claim to fame as it was the beach used in “Saving Private Ryan“. It is a very long and beautiful beach but, I think there must have been some sort of pollution as there was some weird foam washing up onto the beach, and there was a lot of dead crabs, squid etc… I was not going to be stopped by a bit of pollution,as long as the sea was not glowing green anyway… It was great… I paddled for a while….what can I say but ….ignorance is bliss
