I did a 3 day first aid course last week. It was really quite interesting and not that much of a learning curve. I did a AED (Automated External Defibrillator) course about 6 weeks ago. I learned how to preform CPR and use an AED, It’s easy but it’s all about the training so you will feel confident doing CPR and using the AED. The First Aid course was more intense and to be honest is all about common sense :)

The company I did the course with was “Active First Aid Training” I would highly recommend them as they have practical experience, most of them been in the Ambulance Service, so they would be practicing what they teach day in day out. If someone reading this blog want to do a first aid course…Contact mauricewadding at eircom dot net of Active First Aid Training(Ireland only). I do now feel that if a situation arises, I would be able to use the skills that I had learned.

GOD HELP US ALL :)

I attendant a conference called Skycon run by the University of Limerick’s Computer Society. It was held over 3 days starting from Friday 16th to the 18th of Feb. I only went down for the first day as I didn’t feel like staying longer. The talks i went to were pretty interesting.

It was the first time I drove to limerick and on the way I had a small little mishap, I was just outside Clonmel coming to a roundabout when i misjudged how much turning i needed to do and skidded and hit the side of my wheel off the edge of the curb. I did a small little bit of damage to the rim of the wheel.I drove to the nearest garage and the guy said it was ok for now…

This is the first little hiccup I had with the car and I just hope I can learn from it. Safe Driving is a must!
