Went to doolin for the weekend,What a geat place.. never been there before. Even though doolin is a small place it gets alot of tourists, and is quite a fun place to be. Getting to dooling from Kilkenny isn’t hard but required 3 bus changes to get there. The first order of business was to set up the tents, as we didn’t want to camp in the camping ground, we had to spend quite a while searching for the right spot, we finally found one which wasn’t covered in rocks near the sea, Beautiful spot too. After exploring the village( well the pub) we headed back to the tents as it was a very long day. At about 1am the wind started to pick up and from then on i was awake thinking if the tent was going to blow away, (not fun) just after 9am i decided to get up and check if the tent was in one peice, apart from the tent been at an angle (wind swept) everything was ok. Went to the cliffs of Mohar,on sunday, where we when off the beat’in track get a better look , the wind was so intense that you could lean back and the wind would hold you up… It made for interesting walking as the path somtimes was so close to the edge that if the wind changed you’d be blow off the cliff.
