Software Patents

Bad day to be Irish, The European Commisson Steamrolled in software patents, Do we live in a democracy?, Three countries Poland,Denmark, Blocked the “Software patent directive” The EU Parliament has 3 months to stop this getting passed. Well this has changed my vote in the EU constitution to “NO”. I hope that as news spreads about the undemocratic way in which the EC has ignored 3 democratically elected Governments to push this directive through, that people will take the opportunity when voting on the constitution to give a two Finger Salute to it. I have to ask myself what’s next on the chopping block, are we becoming a giant superstate; The film “1984″ by George Orwell’s comes to mind.
